He commenced working in Public Practice in 1989 with Haines Norton Chartered Accountants where he spent the first 5 years of his career. In 1994, he joined a boutique CPA practice in South Melbourne where he advanced to Partner level at just 27 years of age. In 1998 he started his own Accounting Practice in Greensborough. In 2011 he expanded the Practices services by gaining his qualification as a Financial Planner.

Peter Barnes joins BCA Accountants & Financial Planners in the role of Senior Tax Manager. Peter is a Chartered Accountant and Registered Tax Agent and comes with 16 years of experience in the Accounting profession which includes 4 years at Ernst and Young, and 12 years at Accurate Financial/McQueen.
Peter has experience in all facets of accounting and taxation, as it applies to Small and Medium businesses, as well as taxation for Individuals.
Upeksha is a fully qualified CPA and Associate member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK. She also holds a degree in Mathematics and Statistics with Computer Science. She has over 13 years of Finance and Accounting experience. Upeksha specialises in small business including companies , trusts and individual business clients. She has extensive knowledge of accounting packages, including Xero, MYOB and Reckon. Outside of work Upeksha enjoys spending time with family and friends and exploring the great outdoors of Australia.
Robyn holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Melbourne University, is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants and is a Registered Tax Agent. She specialises in Small Business, individual and corporate tax and Self-Managed Super Funds.
Harinder holds a Master’s degree in Practising Accounting from Swinburne University of Technology, and specialises in Individual Tax Returns, and small business including preparation of Business Activity Statements and Financial Statements. She holds great interpersonal skills, has high attention to detail and a strong desire to learn. She enjoys liaising with clients and plans to qualify as a Certified Practising Accountant. Outside of work Harinder enjoys cooking, reading books and spending time with her friends.
Maddison has a background in Child Care, and Administration. She has experience in administration support in a small organisation. Maddison provides ongoing support to our client base and our professional staff and is the first point of contact at the office.
